JACKSON, MI – Slow but steady, Jackson is actively replacing more than 11,000 lead pipes in the city legally required to be replaced by order of the state of Michigan.

With the use of federal funds and a special work team, lead pipe replacement is well underway in the city, according to a release from the city.
